Stem cells are non-specific (or non-differentiated) cells, capable of reproducing identical to themselves and / or differentiating to reproduce specific cells; starting from the callous tissue of the tree of this particular type of apple, it was possible to isolate the stem cells, and demonstrate that these cells, placed in a specific culture medium, are able not only to multiply, but also to differentiate up to reproduce the tree itself.
